- The rhetoric of interactivity, immersion, and simulation
- For one week, collect every instance you can of IIS.
- Put together a brief presentation, where you identify:
- How IIS is used rhetorically (i.e., what functions do IIS perform in rhetoric);
- The rhetoric that underlies IIS (e.g., "freedom")
- Interactivity in the Graduate Classroom
- What kinds of interactivity do we find in the classrooms of CCT?
- Where we find interactive technologies, what kinds of pedagogy do we find at work?
- Materializing the Interactive
- Too often, our intellectual efforts outpace our practical ones. For this element of the course, you will conceive of, propose, design, build, and exhibit an installation that makes an argument about interactivity, immersion, or play.
